The honest distinction
From within,

SilaCast BES deepens the material's own colour from below. It penetrates porous surfaces — concrete pavers, roof and barrel tile, natural stone — rather than laying a film on top, it carries two forms of UV protection, and it never needs stripping before it can be re-coated. A topical film can yellow under UV, it can peel, and taking one off means harsh chemicals; a penetrating enhancer has none of those problems, because there is no film to fail.
Shine-A-Cast is the other road: a hybrid that penetrates to enhance colour and also leaves a protective layer on the surface. That layer is what produces the high shine, what locks joint sand in place on paver work, and what brings a sun-faded surface back — pigment can even be added to tune the colour. It is restricted to approved applicators, which we are.
Which one belongs on your property depends on the surface, the sun it takes, and how you use it — a high-shine layer next to a pool is a conversation about slip resistance before it is a conversation about looks.

How dark will it go?
That depends on the surface — how porous it is and what colour is already in it. Which is exactly why we demo it on your own concrete first: you see the actual result, not a brochure's version of it.
Will it yellow in the sun?
Yellowing is a film problem, and it is why we lean on penetrating products where they fit. SilaCast enhances from within the substrate and carries two types of UV protection; Shine-A-Cast's surface layer is UV protected as well. What we will not do is put down a bargain acrylic film and let the desert have it.
How long before I can use the surface?
Plan for twenty-four hours, the same as any sealing work we do.
