The scope
Before the backfill
goes in.
Once the walls are backfilled, whatever is on them is what the house gets — the one window to do this right is between the pour and the dirt going back. We work inside that window, coordinated with your super, so the membrane is down, cured and inspected without holding up the schedule.
The materials are Deco's foundation line, including the ICC-approved membrane and the clear dampproofing sealer — restricted products that require a certified applicator, which is the certification we hold. Damp proofing handles soil moisture on walls that will never see a water table; waterproofing is the heavier assembly for where hydrostatic pressure is a real possibility. Which one a given wall needs is a conversation between your plans, the soil report and the inspector — we bid either.
Beyond foundations, the same crew handles HOA, commercial and municipal flatwork sealing — the same process as our residential work, at whatever scale the contract runs.
Working with us
Built for the
build schedule.
- Scheduled to the build calendar — we move when the pour moves
- Certified Deco applicator for the restricted foundation products
- Licensed & insured, with documentation on request
- One crew, one point of contact, from first walk to sign-off
- Repeat-builder pricing discussed at the first job, not the tenth
New-build flatwork has its own rule: fresh concrete has to cure and give up its moisture before any sealer goes down. Talk to us at the pour and the sealing gets scheduled properly instead of squeezed in wrong.
Builder questions
Asked on
site walks.
Damp proofing or waterproofing — who decides?
Your plans and the code do; we price and apply what is specified. Where the spec is open, we will walk the site with you and give you the honest read on what the soil and the grade actually call for.
Can you match our pour schedule?
That is the arrangement. Foundation work is scheduled to your calendar, and we hold the slot when the pour date moves — because it always moves.
Do you take on HOA and municipal flatwork?
Yes — sealing and joint work for HOA common areas, commercial pads and municipal surfaces, bid from a site visit. The scope document says exactly what goes down and where.

We come out, look at the surface, and tell you what it needs. No charge for the visit, and no obligation attached to it.
